Hampton Court, East Molesey is a very desirable residential leafy suburban area with a fantastic array of properties from imposing period mansions to riverside homes. Situated on the banks of the River Thames, East Molesey is in the borough of Elmbridge. The area is very popular with its many artisan shops, restaurants and cafes in the vibrant Bridge Road in Hampton Court with views over the historic Hampton Court Palace known for being Henry VIII's favourite Royal residence. The palace was built circa. 1514 for Henry VIII and completed later by Christopher Wren, the same architect of St. Paul's Cathedral. Hampton Court Palace is one of the UK’s most popular tourist attractions hosting the world class annual flower show and music festival attracting international artists.
Nearby is the second largest Royal Park in London, Bushy Park with various ponds, picnic areas and children’s play area. Deer can be seen roaming freely as they did during King Henry VIII’s reign .
The River Thames itself provides many recreational pursuits with a choice of boating clubs, river walks and cycle paths.
With so many gastronomic delights on offer in the nearby town, everything is available to enjoy from the fresh local produce including the local butchers, bakeries and markets on to some wonderful and welcoming restaurants, bars and cafés.
This part of Surrey has an enviable reputation for first class state and private schools and a great range of leisure activities for all the family.
Hampton Court Train Station provides a regular train service to London Waterloo in around 35 minutes. The M4, M3 and M25 motorways are within easy driving distance and offer excellent road links to Heathrow and Gatwick airports, with central London situated just 12 miles away.
